00:00:02 France... for many of us, we picture city landmarks,

00:00:43 to the rolling plains.

00:01:43 As the Rhone River flows into the sea, it creates a tapestry of landscapes:

00:02:42 since more than 100 year old.

00:03:29 They have evolved to adapt to this exposed landscape.

00:04:38 Herding these large and semi-wild bulls with their long horns

00:05:29 They don't want to stress them out in any way.

00:06:26 And that bull has gone in amongst the bulls that have got bells on,

00:07:29 and owners put their best bulls forward for the race.

00:08:22 but for the razeteurs, they keep going even in the hot sun.

00:09:35 If you see them on land,

00:10:53 but the principle is the same.

00:12:06 I'm going to push the punt into the reed beds here.

00:13:03 Just bend a couple of those down.

00:14:03 There's a glossy ibis.

00:15:04 and the salty Mediterranean Sea.

00:16:04 In fact, there are six species that grow here in this incredibly rare habitat,

00:17:05 Now, when you combine that with the strong effect of the local sunshine,

00:18:08 and with the effect of the wind and the sun,

00:18:53 A few miles down the road, you have Monte Carlo,

00:19:57 who is an expert on the Camargue's flamingos.

00:20:36 They're almost in synchrony.

00:21:36 bounce their head from one side to the other all together,

00:22:34 But its beauty is undeniable.
