The Pelican and the Snipe

00:01:04 And he watches over him with untiring devotion.

00:01:50 Look. Imagine what would happen to Monte if little Vidi wasn't along.

00:02:28 And this sort of thing goes on night after night.

00:02:37 At the crack of dawn...

00:02:50 He can't understand why Vidi is so dead-tired in the morning.

00:03:17 Every day they practice maneuvers around the harbor.

00:03:41 The next night Vidi tried a new plan to keep Monte out of danger.

00:04:31 There must be a way out.

00:04:50 No.

00:04:58 Oh, no, not that.

00:05:09 Well, looks like little Vidi's troubles are over.

00:05:44 "You ungrateful guttersnipe.

00:05:58 You've destroyed my faith in birds.

00:06:33 And Vidi scrammed.

00:06:51 There he goes, and with no little Vidi to guide him.

00:07:04 The air force is out on night maneuvers.

00:07:16 And then it dawned on him.

00:07:34 Vidi!

00:08:09 Well, everything's patched up and the two birds are buddies again.

00:08:24 But I'll bet he'll have a dizzy pelican on his hands in the morning.
