Overview

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and — if he has his way — every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop… except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara and Jerry Wooters who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

01:43:02 ...but with pride and honor.
01:43:05 We brought Cohen in, but it was Grace's testimony that put him away.
01:43:09 After the trial, she held on to Jerry and wouldn't let go.
01:43:14 Jerry always threatened to leave the force, but he never did.
01:43:18 I guess he couldn't shake the call of duty that echoed in his ears.
01:43:23 Every man carries a badge, and this was mine.
01:43:29 But it was time to put it away.
01:43:32 The mob has never had a foothold in Los Angeles.
01:43:36 I'd like to think I played a small role in that.
01:43:40 I may not be in the line of fire anymore, but I still love my town.
01:43:45 It's not paradise...
01:43:48 ...but it is the City of Angels.
